Fashola: The Most Admired Now The Most Reviled

They said he is the most admired governor, they all believed. With a single action, he pulled the rug off his feet to reveal the dirt hidden in the rug. He is being heckled from all sides. No only his countrymen but the international community have reminded of what a Holy man said some 2000 years ago that "you will always have the poor among you" He did it to himself, it was not an anti-party gang up. The spiral effect of his singular action has destroyed some people's political ambition somewhere in the SE. He cannot even venture that zone because he will be deported on arrival, maybe he will never campaign there when he hopes to run for presidency. He forgot the fundamentals of being a public figure. The over 90% of poor people in this country now regard him as their enemy because he will not fail to displace them if he has his way in other to build mega cities. If he becomes president, he will banish everyone who does not have a job, everyone who is poor to the countryside so he could build mega cities. In Fact he hates national integration.

How Ngige Committed Political Suicide. A brilliant politician who is loved by many can with a single act destroy his reputation. It's like pulling down a structure from the roots. Why do people love you as a politician? Its because of you principles, policies and perhaps circumstances that have defined the times. A lot can be said about why citizens will continue to support a politician. My Thoughts and Position on Nigeria

I attempted to start blogging in 2009 when President Yardua was the Commander-in-Chief. My disposition and philosophy at that point in time was that of a revolutionist; it was either Biafra or a revolutionised Nigeria. However, I have evolved and had a paradigm shift. Now I believe in one Nigeria. Recently, I changed the name of my blog to Our Dream Nigeria. I dream of a country that will be the numero uno in Africa economically, politically and possible take up Africa’s spot as a permanent member of the United Nations. Africa must be represented, African must be recognised and be among those that take decisions that affect their lives. That is a discussion for another day. I distanced myself from engaging in discussions on the internet, I used to be an internet warrior on Nairaland and was one of those who started following SaharaReporters in the early days. But in the last 2 years,I stopped engaging in discussions online and offline and concentrated on myself development while looking on as a spectator. However, it’s time to lend my voice to issues of national development. I will be turning out at least two articles every week on issues, developments and matters that concern this nation through which I will bear my thoughts. Since my position at the moment is that of a progressive and pragmatist, my views may not be very popular, but they will address a balanced outlook on how to make Nigeria better. God Bless Nigeria.
